Billing Terms & Conditions

These Billing Terms & Conditions ("Billing Terms") govern all purchases made on jamota.com (the "Store"), operated by Jamota, a brandname by Nuvela LLC, a limited liability company registered in Colorado, USA. By completing a purchase you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Billing Terms in full. These terms comply with Google Merchant Center (GMC) billing and pricing policy requirements effective 2025–2026.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods at checkout on jamota.com:

All transactions are processed securely through Shopify Payments and our authorised payment partners. Jamota does not store your full card number, CVV, or any sensitive payment credentials on our servers. Payment processing is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.

GMC compliance note: Payment methods displayed on this page match those available at checkout on jamota.com. Google Merchant Center requires that payment methods shown in product listings are consistent with those offered at checkout.

Pricing, Currency & Display

All prices displayed on jamota.com are in US Dollars (USD) unless your detected region triggers an alternative supported display currency. The currency confirmed at checkout is the currency you will be charged in.

  • Prices shown include all mandatory seller-imposed costs — there are no hidden fees added by Jamota LLC at checkout beyond what is displayed on the product page
  • Government-imposed taxes (sales tax, VAT, import duties) may be added at checkout or assessed by customs — see Section 4 below
  • Your bank or card issuer may apply a foreign transaction or currency conversion fee — Jamota LLC has no control over and is not responsible for these third-party charges
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. The price confirmed at checkout is the price you will be charged
  • Per GMC's September 2025 pricing policy update, all mandatory costs known to Jamota LLC are included in the displayed price — no undisclosed fees are added post-checkout by Jamota LLC

Order Authorisation & Charge Timing

  1. Authorisation: At checkout, your payment method is authorised (held) for the order total — this is a reserve, not a charge
  2. Capture: Payment is captured when your order is confirmed and enters processing — typically within 24 hours of placement
  3. Receipt: An itemised order confirmation email is sent immediately to your checkout email address

If authorisation fails, your order will not be processed and no charge applied. You will be notified by email and prompted to update your payment details.

Taxes, VAT & Import Duties

United States: Sales tax is collected in US states where Jamota LLC has established sales tax nexus, calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and displayed before payment is completed.

European Union: Jamota LLC is a US-based seller exporting goods to the EU. Orders shipped to EU destinations may be subject to import VAT and customs duties assessed by your national customs authority upon arrival. These charges are not collected by Jamota LLC and are the buyer's sole responsibility.

United Kingdom: UK import VAT and HMRC customs duties may be assessed at the point of entry and are payable by the recipient. Jamota LLC does not collect UK VAT at checkout.

EU & UK buyers: We recommend checking your country's import VAT de minimis threshold before ordering. Jamota LLC declares the accurate purchase value on all customs documentation and will not misrepresent values to avoid customs fees.

Price Transparency & GMC Compliance

In compliance with Google Merchant Center's pricing and billing policies:

  • The price shown on jamota.com product pages and in Google Shopping listings is the price you pay — no additional seller fees are added at checkout
  • Shipping costs, where applicable, are disclosed on the product page and calculated at checkout before payment — never added as a surprise after purchase
  • Any applicable taxes are displayed at checkout before the customer completes payment
  • Promotional prices and discounts reflect genuine reductions from the standard selling price
  • Jamota LLC does not charge different prices to EU vs US customers for the same product based on geographic location in a manner that violates applicable non-discrimination laws

Order Confirmation & Invoicing

Your order confirmation email includes:

  • Order number and placement date
  • Itemised product list with quantities and unit prices
  • Applied discount codes, if any
  • Shipping method, estimated delivery window, and shipping address
  • Subtotal, shipping cost, taxes collected, and total charged
  • Payment method (last 4 digits of card only)

For EU customers: This order confirmation satisfies the requirement for a durable medium receipt under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). If you require a formal VAT invoice, email support@jamota.com within 30 days of your order date.

Discount Codes & Promotions

  • Only one discount code may be applied per order unless otherwise stated at the point of promotion
  • Codes must be entered at checkout before completing payment — they cannot be applied retroactively
  • Jamota LLC reserves the right to cancel orders where codes are used fraudulently or in violation of stated terms
  • Promotional prices apply only for the stated duration and may be withdrawn at any time
  • Discount codes carry no cash value and cannot be exchanged for currency

Fraud Prevention & Failed Payments

Jamota LLC uses Shopify's automated fraud detection tools. Orders flagged for risk may be placed on hold, cancelled, or require identity verification. Providing false information during verification will result in immediate cancellation.

If your payment is declined, verify your card details, billing address, and available balance. If the issue persists, contact your card issuer or try an alternative payment method.

Chargebacks & Disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Most billing issues are resolved within 1 business day via support@jamota.com.

  • Filing a chargeback for a legitimate received order without first contacting us constitutes a breach of these Billing Terms
  • Jamota LLC reserves the right to dispute chargebacks with supporting evidence including order records, tracking data, and communication logs
  • Accounts associated with fraudulent chargebacks may be permanently suspended from jamota.com

EU right of withdrawal: Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, EU consumers have a minimum 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of receipt, without giving a reason. Jamota's 30-day return window exceeds this minimum. To exercise this right, notify us at support@jamota.com before the 14-day period expires.

Security & Data Protection

All transactions on jamota.com are encrypted via TLS 1.3 (HTTPS). Checkout is hosted on Shopify's PCI DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure. Jamota LLC does not have access to your full card number at any point. Your billing data is used solely for order processing and legal compliance — not sold to third parties. Pricing Errors

In the event of a pricing error on jamota.com:

  • Jamota LLC reserves the right to cancel any order placed at an incorrect price, even after an order confirmation email has been sent
  • You will be notified promptly and offered the option to repurchase at the correct price or receive a full refund
  • We are not obligated to fulfil orders at prices resulting from typographical or system errors

Governing Law & Consumer Rights

These Billing Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States. Any unresolved dispute shall be subject to Colorado courts.

EU customers: Nothing in these terms limits your rights under EU consumer protection law including the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and applicable national legislation. UK customers: Your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by these terms.

These Billing Terms were last reviewed for Google Merchant Center compliance and applicable US and EU legal requirements on June 1, 2026. Jamota LLC reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Store following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
