Refund Policy

We stand behind every piece we sell. If something isn't right, we will make it right — simply and without fuss.


Return Window

We offer a 30-day return window. You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to request a return. Returns requested after 30 days from the delivery date will not be accepted.

EU customers: Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, EU consumers have a statutory minimum 14-day right of withdrawal. Our 30-day return window exceeds this legal minimum.

UK customers: Your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (14-day right of cancellation) are likewise exceeded by our 30-day window.


Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, items must:

  • Be in their original, unworn, and unused condition
  • Have all original tags still attached
  • Be in original packaging where applicable
  • Be returned within 30 days of the delivery date

Items that are not eligible for return:

  • Items returned after 30 days from delivery
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Items with tags removed
  • Swimwear and lingerie (for hygiene reasons)
  • Earrings and pierced jewellery accessories
  • Final sale items or items clearly marked as non-returnable
  • Gift cards

Defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped items are accepted for return regardless of condition — please contact us immediately.


Return Shipping Cost

The cost of return shipping depends on the reason for the return:

International returns: For returns from the EU, UK, or other international destinations due to change of mind, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Please use a tracked shipping service and retain your proof of postage. Jamota is not responsible for items lost in return transit.


How to Start a Return

  1. Contact us within 30 days of delivery. Email support@jamota.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason. If your item is defective or incorrect, please attach photos.
  2. Receive your return authorisation. Our team will review your request within 1 business day and send you a return authorisation and instructions, including the return address and, where applicable, a prepaid return label.
  3. Pack and ship your item. Securely repack the item in its original packaging if possible. Include your order number inside the parcel. Ship to the return address provided in your return authorisation email. Do not send items back without first receiving a return authorisation — unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
  4. Receive your refund or exchange. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund or dispatch your exchange within 3–5 business days.

Return address: Our return address will be provided in your return authorisation email after you contact us. Please do not send returns to our business address without first requesting a return authorisation.


Refunds

Refund Processing Time: Once we receive your returned item, we inspect it and notify you by email of the outcome within 1 business day of receipt. If approved, your refund is processed to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of approval. Please allow a further 3–10 business days for your bank or card provider to post the credit to your account — total time from our receiving your return to the refund appearing is typically 5–15 business days.

Restocking Fee: We do not charge a restocking fee. Returns are processed at no additional cost to you beyond any return shipping you may be responsible for (see Return Shipping Cost above).

If more than 15 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund approval and you have not received it, please contact us at support@jamota.com.

Original outbound shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error or a defective product.


Exchanges

We offer exchanges for a different size or colour of the same item, subject to availability. To request an exchange, follow the same return process and specify the replacement item in your initial email. If the item you want is out of stock when we receive your return, we will issue a full refund instead.


Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

Please inspect your order upon receipt. If your item arrives damaged or defective, or if you received the wrong item, please:

  1. Photograph the item and packaging before discarding anything.
  2. Email support@jamota.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos.

We will arrange a free prepaid return label where applicable and either dispatch a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice. In many cases we do not require you to return a clearly defective item; we will advise you when we respond.


Cancellation Period

Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of placement, provided they have not yet entered fulfilment. Email support@jamota.com immediately with your order number and "CANCEL" in the subject line. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled; please follow the standard return process after delivery.


European Union — Statutory Right of Withdrawal

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, EU consumers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. Our 30-day return window exceeds this statutory minimum. To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us at support@jamota.com before the 14-day period expires. UK consumers retain equivalent rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
