Our Story: Why We Started Jamota
We started Jamota in 2026 out of a frustration most women will recognize. Clothes that look right in a photograph and fall apart the first time you live a real day in them. Fit that bears no relation to the listing. Fabric that does not survive a season.
We had grown tired of buying pieces that photographed beautifully and disappointed immediately, so we set out to do something simpler. Choose carefully, describe honestly, price fairly, and tell people the truth about how it all works.
What began as a short list of pieces we would happily wear ourselves has grown into seven collections covering the whole of an ordinary week, and the standard we hold each piece to has not moved since the first one.
A Team With One Standard for Everything We List
We are a small team, working from Hanoi, Vietnam, and we set the standard every piece has to meet before it goes on the site. Nothing is listed simply because a supplier had surplus to move.
Because we stay small, we can afford to be particular. We look at the cut, the fabric composition, the seams and the finishing, and we ask the same question every time: would we recommend this to someone we know? If the answer is no, it does not go on the site.
We would far rather carry pieces we can stand behind than fill a catalog with things we cannot.

Fabric, Fit and the Detail on Every Listing
What a garment is made from matters as much as how it is cut. A woven with no stretch holds a clean line where a jersey gives, and on leggings it is recovery, meaning whether the fabric returns to shape after a full day, that separates a good pair from a poor one.
So we publish the detail rather than making you guess. Every product page states fiber composition, fit, neckline, length, occasion, whether it has pockets, and care instructions, alongside a size chart with separate tables for dresses, jumpsuits, tops and bottoms in both inches and centimeters.
Measure the bust at its fullest point, the waist at its narrowest and the hips about 8 inches below, and if you fall between two sizes, size up for anything fitted and take the smaller size for anything cut loose.
How We Prepare and Deliver Your Order
Every order follows the same route from your checkout to your door. Once you have chosen your piece, size and color, one of us checks your delivery details and passes the order to the supplier holding that item, which takes 1 to 3 business days.
Your order is then packed and dispatched from our supplier's facility in China, with a tracking number issued at the same time and a shipping label carrying the Nuvela Group LLC name. Delivery takes a further 5 to 10 business days, so most orders arrive within 6 to 13 business days of being placed.

Free US Shipping, Secure Checkout and Easy 30-Day Returns
Shipping is free on every order to all fifty states, with no minimum spend and nothing to pay on delivery. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Checkout runs through Shopify Payments, which holds PCI DSS Level 1 certification, so your card details go straight into an encrypted system and Nuvela Group LLC never sees or stores your card number. All prices are in US dollars.
You then have 30 days from delivery to change your mind, with no restocking fee at any point. If an item arrives damaged, arrives faulty, or is simply not what you ordered, we cover the return postage and you choose between a replacement and a full refund. You can also exchange for a different size or color of the same item, or cancel outright before your order is dispatched. Our Return and Refund Policy sets out every case.
