How It Works

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This page explains how Jamota operates, from the moment you press buy to the moment a parcel reaches your door. We publish it because the detail behind an order is part of what you are buying, and because every question a customer has asked us about sourcing, dispatch and delivery is answered here rather than waiting behind a support email.

Where Your Order Is Dispatched From

Jamota works with established apparel suppliers who hold the stock and dispatch each order directly to the customer who bought it. We select and list the garments, and we check and route every order that comes in.

Our suppliers operate from warehouses in China, which is where every Jamota parcel begins its journey and why we quote the delivery time we do. The parcel travels from the supplier warehouse straight to your address, with no intermediate stop.

The Four Steps of a Jamota Order

Step What happens Who does it How long
1 Your order is received, your delivery address and contact details are checked, and the payment is confirmed The Jamota team 1 to 3 business days combined
2 The order is routed to the supplier holding that particular item, with the shipping label details we require The Jamota team Included in the above
3 The supplier confirms availability, picks and packs the item, hands it to a carrier and issues a tracking number The supplier, in China 5 to 10 business days combined
4 The parcel travels to the United States, clears customs, enters domestic delivery and arrives with you The carrier Included in the above

Together that comes to 6 to 13 business days from the moment you place your order to the moment it reaches you. That is the range we work to and the range we quote, and where anything is likely to fall outside it we email you rather than leave you watching a tracking number.

What Arrives, and Whose Name Is on the Label

Every Jamota parcel ships under the label Jamota, Nuvela Group LLC, carrying our name and US address. That is the brand you ordered from and the company that stands behind the order, so the name at your door is one you recognize.

Inside, your item arrives in its original packaging, and your itemized receipt reaches you by email the moment the order is placed, which keeps a record of every purchase in one place you can search.

How We Keep Availability Accurate

Stock is confirmed with our suppliers before an item is listed as available, and the availability shown on a product page is kept in step with what our suppliers hold. If a size or color is not showing in the selector, we are not able to supply it at that moment.

On the rare occasion that an item cannot be supplied after you have paid for it, we contact you the same day and refund you in full. We never leave an order open against something we cannot deliver, and we never substitute a different item without asking you first.

What the Supplier Model Means for Returns

Returns go back to the supplier warehouse that dispatched the item, which is normally in China. There is no single Jamota returns address, because the correct destination depends on which supplier sent your particular parcel, which is why every return has to start with an email to us rather than with a trip to the post office.

When you contact us we reply within 1 business day with the correct address and a return label to print and attach to the outside of the parcel. Where an item arrived damaged, arrived faulty, or was not the item you ordered, we cover the cost of sending it back. Where you have simply changed your mind or ordered the wrong size, the cost of return postage is yours, and because the parcel is traveling internationally that cost can be substantial relative to the value of a lower priced garment.

For that reason we ask you to email us before returning anything at your own expense, so that we can tell you what the return will genuinely cost before you commit to it rather than after. The full terms, including the 30 day window and the condition the item must be in, are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.

Who You Are Buying From

Your contract of sale is with Nuvela Group LLC, the company registered in Colorado under identification number 20261656588 and trading as Jamota. Nuvela Group LLC is the merchant of record for every transaction on this site, which means it is the party that takes your payment, owes you the goods, and is answerable if something goes wrong.

Jamota is not a marketplace and hosts no third party sellers. Our suppliers are our suppliers, you have no contract with them, and you never need to deal with them directly. If there is a problem with your order, you deal with us.

Questions This Page Does Not Answer

Delivery destinations, tracking, lost parcels and customs are covered in full in our Shipping Policy. Sizing, fabric and fit are covered by the size chart on every product page and in our FAQ. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, which holds PCI DSS Level 1 certification, so your card details are entered directly into an encrypted system and Nuvela Group LLC never sees or stores your card number. Anything else, email support@jamota.com and you will have a reply within 1 business day.
